Has anyone used this FE100 tool? I just got that other wii up and running so i want to transfer my brothers online data over, people have used it on MH but i wanted to know if any of you guys have used it.

I've used it. Works perfectly for me, it used to be tricky to get it to download all of the keys, but it seems fine now. You'll need xyzzx (or whatever it was called) to get one of the keys, or I think you can use a bootmii backup.

I don't know of any tutorials, but it was pretty straightforward from what I remember. Although I was doing mething different... I convert my WiiFitPlus data from a USA save to a PAL save by transplating the inards from one to the other.

If all you want to do it copy the save across, can't you just use the Wii menu? And if it's a save that usually prevents copying then can't you use priiloader to alow the copy?

Sorry if I've missed the point... if you only want to move part of the save across, then I suggest you use FE100 to extract both saves (yours and bro's) to different locations. You should get a few different files... open each component in a hex editor to see if you get an clues as to what each part does. Otherwise it's trial and error - moving one file at a time (from bro's extract to your extract) and then packing it up and trying the save on the Wii to see if it still works.

IIRC save game manager extracts to the same format as FE100 and is potentially a little easier to use. Here's my exmple with WiiFit... http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic= ... try2797052

what i want to do is move his save with his online data will that work that simply? it would seem that it should be more difficult? but then again ive over thought things before

I don't really know what you mean by online data - I haven't played any games that have that sort of thing. If you mean DLC then no it won't be that simple.

If it's data that's stored in the savegame then it should be one of the files that you get when you unpack it with FE100 / SGM.

It might be worth asking this on GBATemp, there are more people there with this sort of knowledge... WiiCrazy springs to mind.

what i mean by online data is games like conduit, monster hunter, guitar hero.

not DLC but they connect to the internet and they have no copy flags but ill try it and see what happenes

ok i used the savegame manager and i hit the snag that i was expecting what i meant by online data is for exsample a licence in mario kart wii, things that assign you an ID of sorts for online activity. all the offline data works well the problem is when i go to play on line i hit the 60000 error.

i havent tried this fe100 yet but do you belive this could remedy it by inserting the oppisite wiis info into the save somehow?

Hmmm, I imagine it will be possible, but increadibly difficult. Perhaps you could clone your brother's Wii with betwiin, but there are no guarantees that would work either.

Have a hunt around with google and see if if anyone had managed to transfer licences from one wii to another

no luck, i figured out its impossible to modify it(without being a uber hacker pro of course), the reason being is wiiconnect 24 once-a-fucking-gain it ruins something. the problem is that when the online data for each specific file is created, it makes a chain looking something like this.

internet -> specific wii code -> save file

when you transfer the file the chain breaks because it looks like this

internet -X new wii's code

the file identifies with the ID that wii connect 24 assigns it, my conclusion is the only reason this isnt possible is friend codes.

This is the reason that Monster hunter is the exception, Monster hunter Tri was basically the first wii game to have online play completely seperate form nintendos network, all of the severs and gameplay are by capcom.

The player friend system is based off of player IDs embeded in the save file itself, and not branded on your damn wii's face. This way the chain changes as such.

Internet-(skip)specific wii code -> save

then

Internet-(skip)new wii code -> save

sadly this is the final result, wish it was better, but i belive i learned alot in the process.
