Games on Wii - No (AA) Anti-Aliasing, do jaggies annoy you?
I would play on my wii allot more if the games i like to play had atleast x1 or x2 AA. Games like Cod world at war, black ops, Reflex, Conduit are so bad it's hard on the eyes, you cant see far because it's just a load of jagged lines everywhere zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz <<< like that! instead of ________________________ << like that it!
Is there any game 3D! that actualy looks good, even the most easiest 3rd party cheapo games are like they were made for n64. Is it any wonder i game on my PC. I don't mind playing on the 360, some developers do great in some games on that, of course there are a few crapy ones, but 80% the time, they look "good". 98% just for the Anti Aliasing issue alone on Wii, 99% look like shit, quite literally, lolz.

Because those are animated and of course they look fine, try playing something like conduit or something.

I have a 42" HD LCD and, to be honest, I've never noticed a problem. I use component leads too and you'd think that would accentuate it. Maybe you need your eyes scrubbed?

Have you played something like the conduit, reflex, black ops or the like, the wii doesn't support any anti aliasing, i use component cables on my 32" HD LCD, my bro prefers to use scart with his sony bravia hd lcd, surely it affects you?

Yeah, I've played right through the Conduit and dabble on Black Ops. Maybe I just accept that's the way the Wii is and ignore any jaggies. I honestly don't recall noticing them though. Do you play alot of X360 or PS3? Maybe that affects how you look at it. I never play on them to be fair so it's not something obvious to me! I'll have a scrutinise over the weekend...

what type of component wire is your wii using.
If its the one with 3 pin thingys then its not HD.
YOu going to need to buy the hd one which has five i believe....but I dont know if that will fix your problem just a thought

Re: Games on Wii - No (AA) Anti-Aliasing, do jaggies annoy y
Um....yeah, I play on a 32" 720p HD Hisense (LG) with component cables...yeah, the graphics are a little rough, especially compared to PC/Xbox/PS, but it's not anything that disrupts gameplay, IMO. I personally think Conduit looks awesome, especially considering the console! I've got Conduit, Goldeneye, HotD and 28 other games...the only one that I would say actually looks BAD is Dora, but that's just a 'crank it out for the profit' title (poor graphics are expected), and I don't play it (5 yo daughter) so I also don't care, lol. and just to get a little nit-picky here, the 3 prong cable is a composite cable...the 5 prong is component, and neither are HD. You can't say it's officially HD until you hit 720i...480p is 'ED' (Extended Definition) if you want to give it another name. #itguyftw
