I don't think Wankynono will make that, the Game Cube is dead anyway... :/

Crediar is making DIOS MIOS. Not fully done yet, but at least that shows that GC USB loading is possible (Source is here).

I told you once and I would say it again. If the USB can load Wii ISO's then it must load gc games somehow.

USB loading uses IOS. When in GC mode, it doesn't use IOS! it uses MIOS! MIOS don't have support for USB AT ALL! So, the so called "DIOS" must be rewritten, and it will have compatibility issues.
I don't see why this should work...

Obviously Crediar knows something we don't. I don't think he'd waste his time on something like this if he didnt think it could ever work.

not when half system shutdown is part of the equation, stuff like this is not simple. You would have to make the wii act differently than it is designed and thats what the wode does with its modchip, hardware mod. Softmodding the wiis base would be making a new dIos or somthing along that line, much more difficult in retrospect. But so far there are no effective ways because the way wii games load is very different from GC. To launch those games via softmod MIGHT be physically impossible unless you hardmod it.

Post Re: GC games through USB?
Your right, but in theory, can we trick the Wii thinking that its running in Wii mode rather than gc so the Wii can boot it up more easily, or will that still need modding in occasion?

Well then it wouldn't run the game. The way gamecube games work is by shutting off everything the gamecube doesnt have. The Wii is literally just an upgraded gamecube. At least thats how I understand it.
