afaik, 4.3 has absolutely nothing at all to offer, not even any games that like it, so I wouldn't bother updating.

Also, from what I understand, DVDX has been made obsolete (sort of), so its not in this version. (so updating to 4.3 will lose dvdx forever)

My understanding is that The Homebrew Channel now passes rights to all the hardware when it boots homebrew, so dvdx isn't needed. however, if your booting outside of hbc, it won't work.
but I'm not anywhere near certain about this, that's just how I interpreted the post

Will I didnt update my wii what so ever, I just updated hbc and stayed on 4.2. But it is still worth it if you or somebody accidently *cough cough ninty* updates your wii. So yes its recommed per se.

well i like being able to browse wii shop and stuff plus my bro needs to get on the wii shop channel for his gh stuff, so if i lose trucha will i lose usb support?

No, but you can use Dop-Mii to install the latest Shop Channel without updating.

USB 2.0 comes from cIOS 202, so long as you still have that, you'll have USB (actually i think you can use 1.1 normally but 1.1 sucks majorly hard)

Can't you just get the gh DLC into wads? That is what I did with megaman 9.
