 Question About Official Nintendo Channels
I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question, of if there's an easy answer; it's late where I'm from and I'm very tired. lol
I'm running out of room on my wii and I don't have enough room for the opera browser channel. I was just wondering if there was anyway to shrink official Nintendo channels down to a smaller size.
I tried replacing the banner and icon of the original channel with static images and I also tried using a really tiny wav file for sound... but it barely made a difference. So, it's obviously an issue with the app inside the channel.
I looked into bootopera, but it requires the official channel to work, so it kinda defeats my purpose.
I know I could just move the channel over to my sd card (sys 4.0+), but I don't want that.
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Re: Question About Official Nintendo Channels
Newer channels are as small as they'll get (if there were an easy solution to this then Ninty would have thought of it by now, hopefully!). If you've got older channels you can try compressing the main dol (usually 01.app) with dollz (see wiibrew). But generally the size comes from the other files which I don't think you'll be able to compress without breaking the channel.

Re: Question About Official Nintendo Channels
I tried compressing some dols with lz77 a while ago and none of them got smaller (at least not more than ~100 - 500kB). That's just not worth anything Dollz will do better I think
